The Annual Fort Wayne Cherry Blossom Festival - May 18, 2025

​This year the festival was held in Walb Student Union at Purdue University-Fort Wayne. Thousands of visitors came to experience Japanese music, food, art and talent.

The festival will be on May 17, 2026 in the same location

This low-key event was scheduled for sometime in April, near the Japanese Pavilion in Swinney Park West. This year was a good year to see the flowers, and we discovered that one tree was a different variety from the other 4 in that it had pink flowers rather than white.

Community Picnic

​The annual picnic will be on September 6. 2 pm to 6 pm, in the Japanese Panvilion at Swinney Park West. Everyone is asked to bring Japanese food to share.
